I'm someone with a wide range of interests, and a strong desire to always learn something new. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an inventor. In high school, I discovered my skill at hacking, which lead me down the route of cybersecurity. During COVID I built my first DIY keyboard and that got me really into embedded systems development. I then worked at a company doing IT and firmware development, that got me really interested into DevOps. Now that I'm in Japan, I'm hoping to mix all of these interests somehow.

I have a B.S. in cybersecurity with a minor in CS from DePaul University. Before moving to Japan I was doing firmware development with Yocto and a bit of IT/DevOps work. During University I competed in CCDC and placed nationally multiple times with my team.

NixOS with i3wm and Polybar. I'm planning to switch to Hyprland or Sway once I have the motivation to switch again, but currently this works and if it works, don't touch it! Dvorak is my main keyboard layout. Learned specifically for reducing strain after getting a pretty bad RSI back in high school (both carpal tunnel and tendinitis).

I love working in Rust because of the security implications but will work in anything if I'm given the time to learn it. I really like low-level projects but have been messing around with some frontend stuff lately like Tauri and this website.
